St. Petersburg's Weedon Island Preserve

The downtown area gets lots of well deserved notoriety. Outdoor lovers should checkout Weedon Island Preserve (located a few miles north at 1800 Weedon Island Drive NE). They even have classes here where you learn identifying marks and behaviors of the local bird populations. They have nice walking and lookout areas, so binoculars are a good idea.

Love the Whole Downtown Scene
If the weather is nice next weekend, all should come up. We can go to downtown St. Pete. I like the treat at the Chihuly Exhibit. We can also go see the new building for the Dali Museum. No need to pay for the exhibit there since we have already seen it, but we should go see the building. It just opened on 1-11-11 so there should be a lot of people there.

St. Petersburg Celebration Days
Love the Waterside Courtyard Celebrations. They hold these at 800 2nd Avenue NE, and we went to celebrate the Latin Music Days. It was fun dancing for the entire family.
