This is a great spot to stay and there are plenty of other really nice hotels in the area. Your main choice is Captiva or Sanibel, and you can't go wrong they are either as we enjoy both areas. Staying at the Holiday Inn but you closer to more restaurants, beach bars, and attractions. The proximity to periwinkle Way is a fabulous benefit to the hotel. In the mornings, the breakfast values are excellent.

Sanibel Ping Pong Championship We loved the outdoor ping-pong table and poolside beach bar. My son won the ping pong tournament.

Every Restaurant in Town Features Seafood! So happy with the hotel and the water clarity. Tropical island vacations in Sanibel are all focused on one thing away from the beach: Everybody loves the fresh seafood that comes right off the docks. This is one of the really large fishing port zones in the state, which means the freshest and best pink shrimp, flounder, and lobster to name a few.
