WATERFRONT PICNIC PARK

How to spend a nice day by the water?

One of the finer spots in town where you can enjoy the outdoors by the water, and with lots of nice shade trees to keep all cool. The scene is nice and we tend to stay for two to three hours. We bring the kayaks and take turns while someone always monitors the BBQ (burgers and ribs), plus fresh coleslaw in the cooler! We bring beer and sodas, and that is all you need. Fun zone.

One of the Top Beach Parks
Jetty Park has been the top spot in Sarasota County forever and still is. Turtle Beach Park is nice, just not near as big and without the shade. There you have the beach and the boat ramp. Venice has some nice bars, very cheap. Sarasota tends to be a bit more pricey for lunch or restaurants in general.
