This marina is excellent and completely satisfied us during our one week vacation. We took advantage of the dry slip storage and stayed at the Holiday Inn (five minute walk or two minute bicycle ride away). There is a new Hyatt even closer, called the Beach House Resort. Staying there would be a bit more upscale, and would match up perfectly with easy boat access. There is a nice sidewalk between the hotels and Hurricane Hole.
Where to start your Backcountry Fishing Day? Flats fishing in the Keys is a our pick and we start here. What a spectacular experience, and the water surrounding the Florida Keys is so shallow. Flats are made up of sand, grass, channels, rocks, and are running in between the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean.
Fish Strips at the Waterfront Restaurant We are leaving to come down in the middle of the month, leaving that morning from Davie Florida. We are fishing freaks. In a couple of weeks we will be having bloody marys (drinking alcohol is a big hobby too) and the tastiest fish strips anywhere! Can't Wait!
