One thing we need more of is public beach parking and this is one of the beach zones that has plenty. The other way to go which is even a notch up is staying at a beach hotel for the weekend. The area has it from the top-of-the-line Ritz Carlton to Holiday Inn Express!

Seeing More of the Area Beach Parks
Vanderbilt Beach is similar to Siesta Key in Sarasota. It's a beach town within a city. Great for a beach day. As a ex-patriot from Buzzards Bay, in Cape Cod, you cannot beat the life here. I love the whole beach thing, happy hours, crab cakes, and just to be around or near the beach as well. Going to Key West next week, love the beaches there too.
