Be Careful with the Live Seashells

It was a sweet vacation here in Sanibel. Being beach side is the best way to go if you can pass the mustard on your budget. Our mornings and evenings were all about the cool seashells. They are here everyday. We toss the live ones back in the water. We were told that is best to pick up or throw the live shells back into the water. That is ok, but it is illegal to take any of the live shells you come across from the beach.

Should we bring our bicycles to Sanibel Island?
Do bring your bikes on this beach trip as that is the primary method of transportation on the island. If you decide to go to Captiva, the parking their stinks and bicycles make it a lot easier. We really love the lunch at Cheeseburgers Restaurant, you get to pile up the hamburgers with the ingredients.

Do a boat plan before boating in the Gulf
Just wanted you to know that my phone line may get interrupted as we are going boating today. I canceled my old phone, as it never worked out on the water around Captiva or Sanibel. In case of an emergency, you would know the situation, swim for it! My new smartphone is supposed to arrive by 5-15, with unlimited web!

We Love Zany Places for Fun
The reason we make our beach vacations here is because of the great beach on the east end of the Island. Once we found a Sanibel Resort to Play in the waves and soak in the sun, we were hooked.
