The weather runs the fishing plans
I would much prefer fish from the pier in the winter, because of the wind and getting wet and cold. But I'm talking about when it's cold and that is rare. When the weather's good we dump in here and use the boat ramp. Depending on your speed, it is about 40 minutes to Boca Grande Beach.

Everyone loves to try some near shore fishing at a scenic location, which makes it nice to spend some time in a waterfront nature zone. I like to take my guests to any of the local parks that has lots going on, many boats cruising by, and places that are easy to catch fish. With so much nature vegetation and hiding places for producing babies, the Punta Gorda Harbor is outstanding.
