Coquina Beach is a fantastic place to spend the day with family and friends. This beach is located at the southern end of Anna Maria Island, and is on the Inter-coastal side of the island. There is plenty of free parking available at the beach, and you can park under Australian Pine trees, which provide lots of shade. There is a playground at this beach, and picnic tables, restrooms, and showers. The beach here is relaxing. The water is calm, and there is plenty of room to spread out your beach blanket, and just enjoy the day.

	Sunbathers relax and socialize at Coquina Beach, with its expansive layout of white-sand and calm surf.
	There are lifeguards on duty here, making it a safe place to swim. You can snorkel here too, and you will likely find some sand dollars and nice seashells.
	Boaters enjoy this beach too, from a different view. Sarasota Bay is just around corner, a popular water skiing area.
	The water is calm here, so everyone can cool off on a hot summer day. Rafts are everywhere along the shore, it is just the way to hang at the beach.
	This is a family beach, so bring the kids, and have a great day. There is plenty of shade under the tall pines.

	When you need a rest from all the wave runner activity, just anchor close to shore, and take a walk along the beach.
